This halal butcher by Kødbyen (the meat district) in Copenhagen has been in business since 1978. By its own account it was the first Turkish butcher in Denmark to sell halal meat. Today it is run by the owner, who took over from his father, the master butcher and founder. It sells beef, veal, lamb, chicken and poultry, offal and steaks such as ribeye and lamb chops, to private customers and wholesale. It also supplies halal meat to restaurants, cafés and canteens in Copenhagen and on Zealand.
