This shop on Christianshavn is one of twelve in Greater Copenhagen, run by a family of craft bakers for seven generations and founded in 1963. The bread rises slowly on its own sourdough and is cooked in a stone oven. The Danish pastries are rolled and layered with butter made in-house.
The confectionery next door makes everyday and celebration cakes for weddings, christenings, confirmations and birthdays, which can be ordered online. You can buy coffee, breakfast and dessert, take away or get delivery. Cards and mobile payments are accepted, and the entrance is wheelchair accessible.
