This surplus-food supermarket is run by Folkekirkens Nødhjælp, the Danish church relief organisation, and was the first shop of its kind in Denmark. It sells goods with damaged packaging, incorrect labelling, near or past best-before dates, and seasonal items that would otherwise be thrown away.
The shop is run by volunteers, and the surplus goes to the organisation's aid work. Prices depend on the condition of the product, and the aim is to be cheaper than ordinary supermarkets. The entrance is wheelchair accessible.
