This park lies by the river, next to the ARoS art museum. It is a green, lively public space popular with students, especially in spring. A water mill stood here, first mentioned in 1286 and then owned by the king. It closed in 1903, the land was sold to the municipality in 1909, and the park opened to the public in 1916. There are sculptures along the canal.
The park is free, and dogs and service dogs are allowed. It is one of the concert venues during Aarhus Festuge, and in summer there are terrace bars and live bands. The entrance is wheelchair accessible.
