This is FGU Aarhus, a two-year preparatory basic education for young people aged 15 to 25. There are three tracks: AGU with general subjects such as Danish and mathematics, PGU with practical and creative work, and EGU, which combines a workplace internship with tailored teaching. The aim is for students to become clear about their direction, develop their skills and move on to a youth education, a vocational education or work.
The school has three locations in Aarhus: Skejby, Vest in Brabrand and Egå. Teaching is based on practice-based learning and authentic tasks, and teachers are trained in the trade they teach. Health, nutrition and exercise are part of the whole programme. Prospective students can attend an information meeting.
