This neighbourhood in Aarhus N has a green, car-light, community-oriented concept: the town in the front garden and nature in the back garden. It is built in stages and has housing blocks designed by BIG, C.F. Møller, AART and CEBRA Architects, among others. It received the Byplansprisen 2022 for visionary, nature-based urban development.
NYMA is the local grocery shop with a coffee bar, bakery and parcel point, and it also hosts events. Fællesskabets Hus, the community house, can be borrowed free of charge for shared events and houses a church. The neighbourhood's water works recycles rainwater for toilet flushing and laundry, and residents can borrow shelters in Lisbjerg forest. The entrance and parking are wheelchair accessible.
