The place first opened in 1936 and is described as one of the oldest pubs (værtshuse) in Aarhus. On weekdays it works as a cocktail bar, and at weekends it becomes an intimate club with music and a disco ball. It serves champagne, classic cocktails, selected wines, spirits and caviar.
Tables can be booked on the website, and a party room is available for hire for private parties, company events, hen and stag parties and the traditional Christmas lunch (julefrokost). Groups can book a cocktail course. There is outdoor seating and a toilet, but no takeaway, and dogs are not allowed. The entrance is not wheelchair accessible.
