This cocktail bar is in a vaulted cellar under Store Torv, opposite the cathedral (Domkirken). The cellar is a protected building, class A, and is described as the oldest in Aarhus: a monks' cellar from around 1300. Wine merchant Albert Thorup ran a wine business and bodega here from 1885 as Thorups Kælder, and after a restoration the place took its present name in 2016. It serves cocktails, draught and speciality beer, wine and tapas, and holds open mic stand-up Sunday to Thursday.
Tables can be booked online, and tapas must be ordered by 3 pm on the day. There is live music and sport on TV, and the bar suits groups and private events for up to 57 seated guests. There is outdoor seating, but the entrance is not wheelchair accessible.
