Marina

My name is Marina, I am 48 years old, and I write about Denmark for those who like to understand everything in advance. It is important for me not just to list ‘what to see,’ but to explain how life works here: how Copenhagen changes from winter to summer, why there are so many bicycles in Denmark, how that very ‘hygge’ works in ordinary flats and courtyards, and not just in beautiful pictures.

In my articles, I analyse practical matters: when is the best time to go, how many days to spend in each city, how to plan your budget, what to consider with bridges, parking and transport, where to look for accommodation and how seasonal trips differ. I try to write in such a way that you have fewer surprises and more peace of mind — with clear examples, diagrams, and explanations of ‘why this way and not another.’

If you are one of those who dislike chaos in planning and prefer to have everything sorted out in advance, then we are alike. I have respect for both the country and the reader, and I sincerely want your trip to Denmark to be well-planned, comfortable, and without unnecessary fuss.
