Terms of Use — Service Rules

1) Who we are

Provider/Controller: DenmarkGuide (brand: DenmarkGuide)
Email: denmarkguidedk@gmail.com
These details are provided to meet Danish e‑commerce transparency expectations. Based on your current Terms.

2) Accepting these Terms

By accessing or using the site, you agree to these Terms together with our Privacy Policy and Cookie Policy (links in the footer). If you do not agree, please do not use the service.

3) Eligibility and minors

  • You must be 18+ (or have verifiable parental/guardian consent) to enter into this agreement. Under Danish rules, minors generally cannot enter subscription/ongoing‑payment contracts without parental consent.

If we rely on consent for specific online features (e.g., analytics/marketing), a child in Denmark can only give valid digital consent from age 15; below that, parental consent is required.

4) Account and security

Provide accurate information at sign‑up. Passwords are stored only as salted hashes. You are responsible for safeguarding your account and for promptly notifying us of unauthorised use. We may suspend or close accounts for policy breaches or security reasons.

5) Licence and permitted use

We grant you a limited, non‑exclusive, revocable licence to use the site for personal, non‑commercial purposes. You may not mass‑copy site content, resell access, bypass technical protections, or conduct unlawful scraping or other misuse.

6) User content & moderation (DSA)

If you post or submit content (e.g., reviews, profile images, text in forms):

  • You grant us a non‑exclusive, worldwide, royalty‑free licence to host, display and process that content only as needed to operate the service and for as long as it is available on the service. We may keep reasonable backups/logs (e.g., for legal obligations, security, or dispute handling).
  • Illegal content, defamation, IP infringement and spam are prohibited.
  • You can report illegal content via denmarkguidedk@gmail.com; include the URL, description, legal basis, and contact details.
  • If we restrict content or your account, we will send a statement of reasons and offer an internal complaint mechanism with a reasonable response time.
These mechanisms implement key DSA obligations (e.g., Articles 11–12 on contact points and Article 14 on transparent terms and moderation rules).

7) Prohibited activities

Do not: (i) deploy malware, (ii) attempt to bypass security, (iii) impersonate others, (iv) scrape or collect data without permission, or (v) use the service for unlawful purposes.

8) Advertising, links and third‑party services

We may show Google ads/widgets. Ads are labelled and separated from content; their presence does not imply endorsement. Analytics/marketing technologies run only with your consent—see our Cookie Policy.

9) Privacy & cookies

We process personal data under the GDPR and Danish law. By default, only strictly necessary cookies are active; analytics/marketing operate only if you consent. See our Privacy Policy and Cookie Policy for details and your rights.

10) Disclaimers and liability

The service is provided “as is” and “as available.” To the extent permitted by law, we exclude implied warranties and liability for indirect or consequential losses. Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability that cannot be excluded by law, and your mandatory consumer rights remain unaffected (unfair terms may be set aside under Aftaleloven § 36).

11) Changes and termination

We may update features and policies. Material changes to these Terms will be posted with an updated effective date; continued use after publication signifies acceptance. We may suspend or terminate access for violations or as required by law.

12) Governing law and venue

These Terms are governed by Danish law (excluding conflict‑of‑law rules). Disputes are subject to the Danish courts. If you are a consumer resident in the EEA, any mandatory consumer protections of your home country apply regardless of this choice of law. Unfair terms may be modified or set aside under Aftaleloven § 36.

13) Contact & data‑protection complaints
