  • Description

The Happiness Museum is located on Admiralgade in the very heart of Copenhagen, just a short walk from Christiansborg Palace and the historic streets of the old town. It was created by the Happiness Research Institute, a think tank dedicated to studying well-being, quality of life and, of course, happiness itself. The exhibition is designed as a journey through different perspectives on happiness, from global rankings and public policy to everyday habits and personal choices.

In a series of small rooms you’ll find interactive experiments, a “happiness lab”, a world map of happy countries, insights into Nordic hygge and questions about how we can measure something as subjective as happiness. The museum invites you to compare nations, reflect on your own life and explore how culture, surroundings and relationships shape how we feel. Clear explanations in English and Danish make it easy for international visitors, and the playful format appeals especially to curious adults and older children.

Visit The Happiness Museum during your stay in Copenhagen and share your review on DenmarkGuide to help other travellers decide if this little museum about big ideas belongs on their itinerary.
